A NEW OPERATING SYSTEM FOR PHONE COMMUNICATION IS COMING
Mobile phones have more and more complex functionality and it is more important to connect the world of mobile phones with the world of computers. MOBILedit! is a revolutionary open solution for connecting mobile phones of all types to computers.
Everybody knows the problem: you want to transfer contacts from your Motorola phone to your wife's Ericsson and you can't! You buy a new mobile phone from a different manufacturer, but you can't simply copy your contacts. Finally, there is a solution for all: MOBILedit!
MOBILedit! is going to become the standard open framework for connecting all mobile phones. At the same time, each manufacturer can offer additional functionality for their phones and future applications within the MOBILedit! framework. All manufacturers of mobile phones can offer this revolutionary advanced software, without the need to invest in costly development of their own.
Features:
communication via infrared, bluetooth or cable
a powerful editor for phonebooks stored in phones or SIM cards
search and dial directly from your computer phonebook quickly
send SMS messages quickly from your PC
edit, sort, read, and archive your SMS messages on your hard drive
archive and AutoBack-up will protect your data in case you lose your phone
play games like Chess, Backgammon and many others on your PC through your mobile phone
Properties:
virtually all mobile phones supported
all mobile phone functions will be possible to control, even those in the future
open interface - API and source codes available, all developers can support different phones and add applications to MOBILedit!
all smart-card readers supported (via PC/SC) standard
direct SIM card operations via smart-card readers - full SIMedit! functionality
unlimited applications and utilization of phone capabilities
Mobile phones are now a complicated world in and of themselves, and it is not possible to offer just a single program to control them. This can be solved only by an operating system approach, with applications and drivers, like how the Windows or Linux operating systems solve the complexity of computer hardware. This means that you can add applications supporting additional functionality of new phones. If the phone intends to support MMS for example, you can add the MMS application to MOBILedit! and empower the new functionality like editing pictures, uploading and downloading them, and controlling a camera to name a few. Other than applications, you can add drivers, which span the differences between mobile phones at the communication level. This means that any mobile phone can be supported. The driver interface will be open and COMPELSON Labs will even offer the source codes for their drivers.
Don't use your mobile phone only for communication, communicate with it - via MOBILedit!
MOBILedit! is revolutionary
MOBILedit! serves as the framework for others
COMPELSON Labs is a company specializing in technological solutions, with extensive experience in operating systems, mobile phones and smart-cards. MOBILedit! is the successor to SIMedit!

I installed MOBILedit - looks neat, etc, but it doesnt showthe USB-IRda port under 'ports' setting. It only shows COM 1 and COM 2. All the other SE Software that I have such as Image Editor, etc work fine via USB.How can I make MOBILedit recognize my SE T310 via the USB port? |

Folks, you can view the page at www.mobiledit.com
As far as your IR device, windows is not detecting it , therefore you will not see it under settings>ports until it does
For those of you that are starting to use it, please inform us if you see any bugs by replying to kielhurn@compelson.com
Many have downloaded it and are rainting and raving about it already. Should be launched in a maximum of 2 weeks... we thank you all for your input... |
