At the moment would settle for either.
The P900 on Orange is about as easy to track down as a Yeti.
The 7700 needs to be marketed NOW if it is going to torpedo the SE P900, which it would do if it competed head to head. It's arguably ugly (or at best weird looking) and no idea how confortable in the hand it will be to use as a PDA (i.e. upright) let alone as a phone.
It is however, a Nokia, and people like Nokia phones for some good reasons (and some stupid ones).
At least Nokia have learned from their earlier models that just because they can't think what use more memory would be doesn't mean that everyone and his kid sister wouldn't be able to eat up the available memory in minutes.
Really the 7700 is like a P900 but with bigger screen a few extra applications, a proper amount of user memory and a viable upgrade memory card slot. So no reason to buy the Nokia eh?
Given a choice I'd definitely get the 7700 but I have a well overdue order placed (paid for) for a P900 as it's likely to come into stock sooner.
Sony Ericsson had better hurry up and get the P900's into the stores because when the 7700 comes out the P900 will be yesterday's news.

the Nk 7700 is being released Q3 is it not. Handsets of that price (
£300 with a contract) never really sell and are mainly bought by techie freaks and business people
as the pohones more of a media phone it will be intresting to see what actually happens. The handset has the same size screen as a p900 however the 7700 has higher resolution. As Nokia screens are typically crap (compare their 4096 screens with a samsung 4096 screen!) i think the screen will be the same as the p900
The design on the 7700 is awful and its just to damn big. I dont want to hold a phone side ways imagine balancing it whilst on a treain with one hand then trying to write with the other!. I can see nokia marketing heavily on the TV tuner add on but knowing nokia it wont be out till 2005 and will be over priced and riddled with faults. And probably make the phone bigger and bulkier (AKS TV tuner for GBA is huge!)

Ok, so for now and until 2006, the p90

The Links ''Future Look'' website had a review on the 7700 and said it is a 3G phone WITHOUT video calling capability!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the hell is the point of that??
PS from here on let it be known as the Nokia Taco!
edit:
Here's the quote from my e-mail from Future Look:
''Nokia 7700
Those wacky Finns are at it again, with one of the stran-gest designs yet seen for a 3G phone that doesn't do video calling''

That's bullshit. The 3G means video. It's like sayin u built a car with a diesel motor without..the diesel power. Are they allowed to use the 3G term if their phone doesnt qualify?

Isn't 3G just the 'new' standard for mobile telecommunications?
Functions such as video calls/messaging etc. are just applications which are made possible by the increased bandwidth 3G allows.
please connect a phone

But what is the point of making a phone that can use the new bandwidth etc. but is unable to actually apply them to what they are designed for i.e. video calling
Personally I'm not really bothered about video calls to but it just seems quite a contradiction that a '3G' phone won't even let you! |

Apparently the extra bandwith will be used to stream TV. Thats right, no TV Tuner, it will be streamed, streaming = downloaded data = money. |

That's IF they actually enable it to do that. I believe it cannot do it yet?
And why pay costly bills of streaming TV to your phone when you can get handheld TV's, watch it through your PC or just go home or to your mates house or better still the pub(for the footy anyway)!! |
