I have been using mobile web GPRS (not wap, but HTTP browsing) for a few months....i use about 40mb a month....but i have never been charged....does any1 know when they will start charging for this, as ill want to cut back my usage when im paying £2.35 a mb.

I think mobile operators need an "all you can eat" package. 100mb for £20 for example.....

Thanks
Mark

I have read in this forum that is suppose to be january. But these dates are always rumors. I get WAP GPRS free and that has been going on since last august. Some people have said they get charged but i have never been charged for one byte. What type of SIM do you have? Mine is contract and my PAYG is also free. I have never tried the mobile internet settings, but i am just assuming that they would run the same kind of promotion with all their GPRS products

Are you sure you are using mobile web gprs of O2 becasue I am using the same and I am charged for it but the O2 wap gprs owen mentioned above is free at the moment. Could you please check in the control panel> connections> internet acconts> mobileweb> edit> advanced> and the address is mobile.02.co.uk

@redbull
You need to call your service provider and activate the gprs to use it

Thats incredible! Those guys are charging me and not you,Lucky you . Is your account with 02 direct or through singlepoint?

Hmm, can anyone clear up the meaning of "O2 Active"? When they say free access to O2 Active, do they really mean free GPRS? Or just whenever you're in the O2 Active domain??
