Hi guys! I am thinking about buying a DECT wireless phone for home-use. I need some advice. I know that Ericsson doesn't make DECT phones anymore
Right now I am eyeing for the SIEMENS 4015 Micro, it has a digital answering machine as well as SMS function, handsfree (optional) and it looks quite nice too! What do you guys think??
Here is a pic of the phone: http://www.digitalconcept.de/shop/images/gigaset401xmicro.jpg |

as long as the phone itself supports it, and the function is supported by the operator it works
some operators have implemented the feature of sending sms through the ordinary phone network... haven't heard anything about it, if it works any good... here in Sweden there is only one operator supporting sms through the ordinary phone network.

I would definitely go for a Siemens DECT phone.... I have the 3010 Micro and I'm very satisfied with it... specially when it comes to the reach, it goes, without any problem, through thick concrete walls

Would go for the Siemens too! I've now a Alcatel and its not worth any money I've spent on it. The Siemens looks realy handy and has a good design

Siemens is one of the best DECTs you can get and if on a budget I would buy a Siemens.. If Cash is no issue I would buy a BeoCom 6000, it has some features I like and better sound quality IMO.

I would recommend the Philips Zenia.
It has a good backlit display and most importantly it's handsfree speaker is the best I've heard. I usually clip the phone (which is really light and small) to the neck of my t-shirt - then I've got both hands free and people hardly ever notice that they're on the speaker phone.
99% of the calls I make are on hands free - I hate having to hold a phone to my ear for long periods.
The Zenia also comesd with a really good answering machine and base station which also has a hands free speaker and can be made to make calls.
On the down side the menu system is poor and a bit slow - just like Ericsson phones and the instructions are poor. However once you get used to the phone it's really easy to use. |
