Can I reset without a Sim Card on My t65? |

Hi
My phone (T65) keeps displaying 'Insert Sim', I removed the back to see what was going on and the sim card holder has broken all of its solder joints and it looks irreparable, at least in comparison to the cost of the phone.
So, I've just bought a T68i as a replacement.
What I need to knoiw is...
Is there any way a shop could transfer my phone numbers over to my new phone even though I can't get a sim card recognised?
Am I able to wipe all of my information from my T65 before I chuck it in my local mobile phone recycle bin?
Thanks for any help.

you need to have a SIM card in the phone in order to access the phonebook... |

That's what I thought.
Any ideas on wiping everything off of it?
Thanks

you can't... but if you are afraid some evil person will come across your phone just destroy it... for example break the PCB in half or something

Thanks.
I took great pleasure breaking it up into pieces.
That stupid sim card slider has been nothing but trouble.
RIP.
