I think I have to press too many buttons to send an sms on my T610.

1. Write message
2. Press "Continue"
3. Press "Look up"
4. Select "Phonebook"
5. Write the first letter in the name
6. Press "Ok"
7. Scroll down to the right person
8. Press "Select"
9. Select the mobile phone number
10. Press "Send"

There has got to be a way to do this faster.

Does anyone have some advice?

you have either R1A or R1L firmware. update to the latest R3C and the steps become less

Though the Nokia indeed takes 1 step less (mind you, one step is removed for the T610 with the new firmware), I personally thinks the 'feeling' of many presses for the T610 is due to the fact that the response is SLOW! there seems to be a few micro seconds lag after you press the button whereas on the Nokia, it's instantaneous.

Here is a tip i would like to share with you guys (apologise if it has been mentioned before)

Put the name of the person you SMS most at the top of your phone book so there is no need to scroll in search of the number. This will save you at least 2 steps!

To do so, add "AAA" in front of the name of that person in your phone book and it will be listed at the top.

You can then add "AAB" to the front of the next most 'popular' person and so on.

Hope this helps...
