Using the fone's camera I was able to send photos via email to my relatives abroad - REAL TIME!!! It's great thanks for the wonders the fone companies have made to gadget geeks like me! I just can't wait to buy NEC's latest fone come 2005 - the one with a colored tv on it!

Well it won't be switched off everywhere. Don't know when they'll hit the power switch in the US but here in Aus they'll probably turn it off at the beginning of 2007 and in Sweden I think they're gonna do it in 2008. And as the lifetime of a phone usually is about 1,5-2 years it should be okay

SE just released a phone with TV tuner in Japan

they're not switching terrestrial "off". they're gunna be switching analogue off (supposedly before 2010 in the UK), but terrestrial will still be there, just in digital form (i.e on Freeview).
I'm not too sure about the phones that have TVs, and I could be wrong, but more likely than not, they'll be recieving a digital signal, so switching analogue off won't affect it

i NEARLY took the best photo with my phone. it was this friday at 4 in london when the last three concordes were landing at heathrow. i was at my school (a picturesque building on the outside with beautiful front gates , never mind the indside) and the concordes were right above the tallest roof in my school. it would have been perfect (the sun was behind me) but they're too fast.

by the time i took it out the third plane had already passed.

oh well, maybe next time when the next supersonic plane is made and then forced to be destroyed becusae a faulty model killed some frogs.
