can anyone help me with the setup of my p800 to recieve hotmail. Firstly is this possible? If so what is the connection type, incoming server address, outgoing server address,outgoing mail port, and any other relevant details. Cheers!

I used the search, not overly helpfull but as far as I can tell you cant connect to hotmail unless you go through the web browser

It can be done but use the search option. It upsets the natives otherwise

Dean, I've been searching and searching but couldn't find any valid settings on this. Based on your last reply I did a search for "hotmail" with your username as the poster and the only result it returned was this thread!

Do you recall any thing else I can search for in the thread you mention?

I remember the settings I saw posted before were for private gateways (to hotmail), not hotmail (confirmed by a DNS check)

I don't know all i remember is asking a question regarding getting email on this phone and thats the thread i was pointed to. I have seen hotmail settings on here before tho

It's impossible

The free hotmail is an advertizement driven buisness. They don't have POP3 functionality (for obvious reasons).

One can either use a web browser to access the mail...
..or use a gateway of some kind (3rd party)
