Whilst emailing the manager of the SE Eshop about an order I had made I slipped in a question about the P900, here is his response:
"As yet there is no official information on the P900 from Sony Ericsson, the press release of the product is due in early November when all information on the product will be made available to the trade and also put on the web site, Stock is expected to ship in December SIM free cost £500 approx."

Interesting email but I was under the impression the shop was run by a third party company trading as se shop so this information would not be any more reliable than if you were mailed from a carphone warehouse manager.
However this would meet my expectations when taking into account everything that is currently known so I guess this sums it all up very well.

Don't believe anything until you hear it from the horses mouth |

Where's the horse and why doesn't it say something already?
The horse (:se) always leaves the community to speculate and rumours to circulate before coming out with the last word.
I have to say though, I like the suspense... except when I had to wait for the P800 to be released

well, like i said in a previous thread... SE did tell me in fact similar information saying that information will be released in the fourth quarter on this year. The phones will be released to the european market first and also unlike the p800 "global warranty" the p900 will have a regional warranty only, so I was advised not to buy the phone until it gets to north america as, if something happens to the phone you will be screwed on getting it repaired under warranty, if this is true who knows?

All products are country/region warranty only, including the P800 (I just double checked in the manual)
Ericsson phones used to have worldwide warranty however.
