Need a software suggestion guys, I need some software to write SMS's on the pc and to be sent thru my T610. I've tried Floats Media Agent but havent had much luck getting to work. Any other pieces of software out there, all i need is SMS functionality. I dont mind paying for it either.
Cheers

If you are using IR try this "mobile phone manager 7.0" from Mobile Action.

Malinda: thanks for your suggestion however im not using IR, im using Bluetooth..but thanks nevertheless
wrath000: that software actually looks better than floats, however i cant get it to connect to my T610 either! In the connection settings it wants a port setting for BT, which would be great if i knew/could find out what port it uses. I tried the search function (i assume it tries iterating thru each port to connect) yet this failed. The help files are in russian...arggghhh!!
This is really making me lose it...im not computer illiterate...no problems with the built in BT software for sending/recieving/syncing....why the hell cant i get any other piece of software to connect to the bloody phone..
lol sorry i think im losing it! |

solidusss thanks for your reply!
Funny you should ask what bluetooth dongle im using..as like you its also MSI!
I was using your method beforehand with no luck, but however since it was obvious that its the MSI software messing up and not the applications i was trying to use with it, i reinstalled the msi software...and reinstalled it...and resinstalled it...till bam! it works, now there a few more options (add serial service) and i have more than one port to choose from.
Grrr ahwell im never buying MSI again...dodgy software and false claims of its hardware (100 meters bluetooth? class 2 not 1? yeah right!) ...havent they gone bust recently anyway...
hope some unlucky bugger with dodgey msi software will find this post helpful.
msi, btoes, pc2pc, dongle, software, xp, serial, com port
