I got a T610 on O2,their phones Catalogue says the T610 is not Tri Band. My mate says the T610i is Tri Band. I phoned O2,they asked if it has a Black Top and Silver Bottom?? I said yes..they said it IS Tri Band!! NOW I`m really confused.

If it is,how do I know before going to the States? Could I use that phone in the States long term and talk to others in America using O2 or a USA Network with this T610?

Sorry for all the questions, but I`ve been given the run around by so many, and I thought Esato is bound to know..Thank You

all T61x are tri band... if you can use it in US depends on what roaming deals O2 have with US providers... if you want to buy a US simcard you need to check if your phone is simlocked first...

yes, all T610s are triband with the frequencies I have mentioned.

Before going to the states you should call O2 and be sure that international roaming has been activated on your account because normally it is not activated unless you have requested it and either been with your carrier for quite a while, or paid a deposit, or are using prepaid.

International roaming is very expensive so if you are going to be there for a while you might consider picking up a local pre paid card.

You should also ask O2 what coverage you are likely to have for the areas you will be visiting.
