I've read the large post about FMA yet still cant get it work with my bluetooth dongle.
Im running XP, MSI Btoes dongle, with the Btoes software. When i ran FMA i get a "Address family not supported by protocol family" and looked around and a suggested way of getting around this is using a virtual serial port? the only thing i could find on the btoes software was a "Bluetooth Serial Port" which when I run turns the Btoes software icon in the taskbar green adn says any software must use com port 9(theres a drop down box in hte setting but the only option is com9).

So i ive tried running FMA with that bluetooth serial port activated and FMA connecting via the serial port on port 1, but all i get is:

11:30:36:492 Connecting...
11:30:36:492 Connecting via Serial
11:30:36:702 Discard shit:
11:30:36:702 [TX] ATI
11:30:46:706 Disconnecting...
11:30:46:716 Connection Error

and then if i try connecting on port 9 under fma settings i get:

11:31:39:653 Specified device not found (COM9).

I installed the sony software phone monitor and that XTND stuff (god knows what all that stuff does and what its needed for? It didnt seem to do anything or connect to anything).

Can anyone help me?

By the way i have no trouble synchin, sending files e.t.c. with the Btoes software.

fMA doesn't need MPM. All it needs is a free COM port which is not in use by any other application.

Please check your BT configuration.

Continue this discussion in the fMA thread please.
