Official word on the next T68m upgrade |

I'm a bit concerned about something...
I e-mailed SE about the forthcoming upgrade for the T68m, I got a reply:

So, I rang the number ... "We have the latest upgrade here already, but I don't have any technical information about it" (I suspect it's just a minor revision and not the next version we all wait for, it seems the service centre is not given full info)
Anyway, the guy suggested I ONLY upgrade if I have a problem with my T68m, when I asked why he said because the upgrade will make your phone use more power (!?)
When I asked why, he said when doing a software upgrade, it leaves parts of the old version still on the phone.
Now, I can't work that out, either he meant "memory" or if he's right about "power" it sounds like both copies of the software remain running (although you can only access one)
Anyone care to ring that number and make further enquiries ?
Please post results here, it effects us all.

It sounds as if the bloke didnt know what he was talking about. Once the T68m-T68i software is released it will totally overwrite the existing software. Ring him again and tell him he is stupid and should be working at Boots on the make up counter!! |

haha, ya I agree with PR24.. maybe you should really call him back and say he is stupid!!!
I called SE in hong Kong today again... yesterday was the first time, and the CS doesnt know what I was talking about so I gave him the web address for the T68 FAQ and he said that the upgrade is only available in some areas so he is not sure if we are going to get it in HK or not... so basically he too doesnt know anything as of today.... at least I had to show him to the site! |

I posted an email on the website and got the response that the MMS software upgrade was a 'rumour'. This was despite the fact it was stated in their FAQs that it would be happening in Week 20. Do they really have a clue what they are talking about? |

oh... now thats bad... I guess either they are trying despartely to mis inform people so more T68i get sold or they are a company with no communication at all!! |

i can tell you that e// has HORRIBLE communication problems. when i sent my phone to get fixed, they said that they couldn't even contact the center in sweden to get me an ETA. they are full of it! how can they NOT call another e// center to get info? full of it i tell you.
