I used to have a nokia 8210 and when i got a text message that had a telephone number in it. I go go to options and just select call number. Whats the best way in the t68 .. i seem to have to goto new contact and then add an unsaved number then call the new contact. Am I being stupid. surley there is a quicker way..

I think it should be as easy to just scoll down you SMS until you highlight the number in the sms and click yes och the joystick, then you get the option to save or call the number... |

I don't have to scroll down the sms when I read the sms
I just press joystick down and theres an option to call the nr
alternative is to press the options button and get the same
menu..hmm and also the Yes button does the same
This is T68i never tried T68m so don't know if its the same there. |

I can call the person that sent me the sms, just not a number sent in the sms

OK, i can choose the number in options but only if it's highlighted.. doh not just all the numbers all the time.. oh well it amazing how much isn't in the manual.... I was a nokia person for 7 years.. it takeS a while to get used to the new phone |

You can do both save or call any number on an sms message. Just scroll down the message till the number is highlighted, not just underlined, and pressing yes or option. This is true for my T39 so it should be for T68

Ah.. nice didn't know of this feature (haven't bothered reading the manual yet hehe)
I just tested it on my T68i and when the number inside the sms is hilighted and i click joystick (or press option/yes) I get the option
to either call the number or sms it.
You live you learn... thank you esato

Well, upgraded from T68m to T68i today. At least typing SMS messages is much faster.

@anderss, do you use T9 input? Is it text input just a bit faster or is it as fast as a nokia

I use T9 and I have it only enabled for swedish and english in the settings. I do not think its slow at all but I'm so use to writing with
my previous Nokia 8210 so I must think about where the space is and
punctiation marks etc stuff that slow me down, perhaps I'll notice something when I'm more used to write sms with
If i type a word like 'klocka' (swedish for clock) it suggest it
instantly no delay but I don't know if it slows down if you write longer sms's. I have no T68m to compare with
The slowest thing I done on the T68i was open a large MMS the first time, ones they have been viewed they open and play almost instantly the rest of the times so if you wanna impress on your friends with the MMS's make sure you viewed them ones after you bought the phone
