I know that Nokia N-Gage isn't due to be released for another three days yet, but what do people think of it and how does it compare to other phones?

I myself am quite intrigued by it and am considering an N-Gage over the Sony Ericsson T610 I plan on buying in late December!

The only two things that make me hesitant of choosing an N-Gage over a T610 are:
1. Price
With so many features and such high specifcations, surely the N-Gage will carry a much larger price-tag that the T610...
2. Screen
The N-Gage's screen only supports 4096 colors (compared to the T610's 65,536 colors)!

What do you think of the N-Gage and how do you think it compares to Sony Ericsson's T610?

It doesn't have very many games yet, but you have to remember that the N-Gage hasn't even been released yet! Over time, the N-Gage's games library will grow and it's quite likely that we'll start to see some impressive games appear...

But it's not the games I'm interested in- it's the phone itself and how it compares to the T610!

let us know what you want it for.if you are after a games machine for on the move that can be used as a phone go for a n gage.
if you want a phone that you can play games on get the t610.
the nokia is a nice gimick but were it will chace on is another matter you can get a gameboy sp (or whatever they are called) for about Ģ100 or less and they will wipe the floor performance wise with the nokia.
however you need to decide what you want a phone that plays games or a games machine that makes calls

Well fijbert, give me one game on T610 that beats those on NGage.

NGage does have good games.
Anyway, I wouldnt compare the two devices.

yeah, u acnt compare the two. one's a hybrid the other's a norm phone.

aniwaes, both phones have their shortcomings. the ngage only has a vertical 4096 color screen whereas the t610 has a better 65k colored one. the t610 cannot make use of this advantage as it doesnt support expansion cards and mmc games.

it will be nice if u fuse the two together though... hehehehehe.

What? Do you have to have a beard??

Seriously though, I don't think that looks ideal for how to hold a phone at all.

i believe these two phones are for two different market. so, i guess there is no point of comparison.
