Problem using computer as headset |

I have the MSI Bluetooth usb-key and a sonyericsson t68i. I am trying to use my computer with the headset profile to use the computers speakers and microphone during calls. I can connect the devices and sometimes everything works fine, but sometimes, instead of normal voice, I can only hear a loud crackling/hissing sound from the computer speakers.
I get no error message or anything, just that loud sound whenever the other person speaks, when the other end is silent, my speakers are silent to. The strange thing is that this problem only occurs about 1/3 of all my attempts. It can hppen both when I start the call from my computer or if I connect to it during a call. Please help me if you can! |

Glad I'm not the only one then! It's about half the time for me. So far haven't been able to pin down what might be causing it.
Also have you (or anyone else who is using their PC as a voice gateway) noticed a problem with echoes and people on the other end hearing themselves back again a second later? Got a solution apart from turning down the volume on the speakers and/or the sensitivity on the mic?
Will post back if I am able to find anything out.
Incidentally my system is using a D-Link DBT-120 with 1.4 drivers, and my SE T68i. So far the only thing that seems to stand out is that it happens a lot more on mobile phones than on landlines.

I think the loss of connection is due to the dongle drivers being still kind of under-development. I get it all the time, the phone links up fine, I get the headset symbol on the phoen, and calls coming to the phoen automatically get xferred to the PC (though I wasnt successful in xferring PC sound to the phone, idea beign to use my PCPHone application on the cellphone). As for the echos... most audio communication programs on a pc have echo cancellation algorithms, which suppress this, when usign the PC as a headset, u're jsut using the sound card, theres no echo cancellation. One way out might be to get a speaker whch has built in echo/noise cancellations.
I get anther problem- since I installed my bt card (its a Billionton Class 1 100 m kind), whenever I try to restart windows, jsut b/4 the pc is abt to s.down, I get a blue screen with a msg saying somehtign abotu IRQL. then it completely hangs, I can only switch off the power button and then restart.

So I´m not the only one either...
I´ll try to test using a friends phone instead and try his bt-dongle to and see if I can isolate the problem. Btw my firmware on the phone is R5D007 |
