Fido Firmware Upgrade for t68i |

I want to upgrade to the latest firmware of my t68i.
I went to Fido in Montreal and they said that they didn't want to do it
because it was not a fido phone and it would just bug on them.
Now, I am in Toronto and ask them the same question. Their reply is that they will do it, but Fido won't offer any guarantee if it breaks and they said it might occur.
Do you guys know if it safe to let them do it? Is Fido's firmware won't work with other t68i phones. I bought my phone on ebay and I think it was with Rogers. I went to Fido since I am a client of them. Do you guys know any better place?

Yes, I am actually in Downtown T.O. I went to the fido store in First Canadian Place and they told me they didn't do it. Then, I went to Eaton Center Fido and they said they would do it, but at my own risk.

They were charging me 30$. Where is your store exactly? I will try to pass by later this week and which lastest version do you have?
