T68i SMS trouble |

I've bought few days ago the T68i.
I receive many SMS a day, but the alert signals are virtually non audible!
Silence (mmm too bad)
Click (maybe in a church?)
Tone (very very low volume)
The volume seem to be a general problem b'cos even the personal sound wich have a customizable volume seems desn't change after the 7th volume step...
Even normal ringtones at volume 6 are too low.
Go to address http://www.sonyericsson.com/T68i/
and choose "features". Focus on "My Sounds" text says:
My sounds
Choose or compose
– it's your call
The 17 pre–recorded melodies can be used in messages, as ring signals and message alerts. Try composing your own tunes with the virtual keyboard.
As message alerts?
Totally untrue.
I've asked Italian technical assistance and they said that it's an error on the web site!
Mmm. It seem that they have failed the features! Quite good...
The Software to manage the SMS...
I'm not able to make working any package previously relased for the T65 and T68m... No one seem to be ready for the T68i.
Coming from Nokia phones, I think 0 is better for "space" 1 for "punctuation", # for "candidate words"

Right now thats a problem for me too
but I figure I'll get used to the new places the
functions are now, one thing thats much better
and that is apreciated where T9 imput aint possible
is using the volume slider to choose char of the key
you are about to press, saves time adding contacts etc.  |

Changing the classic Ericsson beep-beep sms sound in the t68i was a really bad move. Already wrote that in my t68i review when i just got it. I'm checking the display of my phone numerous times a day now, because it's almost impossible to hear that a message comes in. Hope SE fixes this in the next SW-version for T68i...........New software for t68i??? what about that!..........a new discussion point!
