Hi, i have a P800 and i'm looking for the old Ericsson ringtones (low, mid and high pitch), i read somewhere that an owner of a T68i was able to extract those ringtones from the phone and save them as files that later could be used in the P800.

The reason i'm looking for them is that i used to have a E T39m and used those ringtones because there where louder and easier to ear in noisier situation.

With the polyphonic ringtones in the P800 i'm allways missing calls...

Can someone help me?

Thanks,
Helder Luis

@helderluis

I know I said I'd send them to you. Just to say, I haven't forgotten, I just haven't been able to find them yet.

I think the old Ericsson ringtones where IMelody or EMelody...

If someone could post the code for them i would be very grateful...

I've tried extracting them from my old T39m but the only ringtones i could extract where the personal melodies not the original ringtones...

Thanks...

Sorry if I'm too specific but I'm only interested in the IMelody files, if i wanted WAV i would had asked or wouldn't specified that i wanted IMelody or EMelody...

Regarding your statement that the WAV is better than the IMelody, i don't agree!

In this particular case IMelody is way much better:
1. It will be more similar, if not exactly the same as the original ringtones.
2. It's smaller
3. Less noise
4. Less weight on the processor
5. More compatible with phone features like increasing ring and vibrating alerts, etc.
6. It's digital all the way

PS: I'm an audio producer (among other things) so i know something about audio and MIDI, in this particular case, IMelody is better, of course, if i wanted the sound of a train as my ringtone i would definitely record it and stuffit in a WAV file and upload to my phone, but this is not the case

Thank you all for your messages...

I'm waiting for the files from "agn", i'll let you know if they are what i'm looking for...

I don't know if the following site has the particular melodies you want, but I saw at least two Ericsson melodies. Check it out, it has loads of free sounds:
