Hi.
SonyEricsson are doing changes to their production lines. The production of T300 and T310 has already been stoppend in favor of other models, but now it's the old faithful's T68i's turn.
SonyEricsson have stopped manufacturing the T68i and are basically just selling their last stock of it.
My recommendation to those who want a T68i: GO BUY ONE NOW! Because the available stock of those phones is running down fast.
I would say the T68i is going out with a boom, because I have heard that it's sales haven't dropped much after the introduction of T610.

Was SE still producting t68's?
Thats unbelieveable. It is like VW still producting beetles untill a few months ago.
Anyways it is incredible how many they have sold, considering that it has always been an expensive phone. It is the top-model counterpart of the Nokia 3310: both design/product development classics. |

The T68/i has firmly laid the stones for phone-market domination over the next few years...

Get real! Nokia 3310 is not even in the same class as T68i. T68i had virtually every feature possible when it came out, and even up to now, is still very competitive in terms of features.
With a good runout price, I think the T68i will be real steal. |

I almost burst into laughter when I saw T68i being 3310's counterpart. Try 8890 or even 8910 dude

I gave up the t68i for the P800 then i gave up the p800 for the t61x...but the only fone i miss is the T68i...I always remember you T68i...you are my only true love
If i cold get a t68i with better colors and a camera and poly, i'll stick with the t68i's design

I wouldn't compare it to anything I think it completely stood in a class of it's own

If production has stopped does this mean that maybe it will become a collectors item because of its classic design, and those of us who still have one might have a colletors item in the future thats worth a bit.

My key issue is whether to get the firmware updated to R8 or wait for a possible R9 series. I suspect that the decision time is getting very close.
Collector's item? Yeah, keep dreaming. And don't forget to pass it onto your grand grand grand child before calling Christies!

Here's my tribute to the ever classic T68/i:
In a market that is dominated by Nokia,
You came and make a statement loud and clear.
When people were living in a matrix of gray,
Your colours lighten up the day.
When all thought that SE will go down the tube,
You conquered and silenced even the most skeptic dude.
What more can I say my ever classic?
'Cept in all our hearts you'll always be BIG...

no point comparing t68i with nokia's 3310, the more comparable unit i would believe is the nokia's 7210. going back to the topic, i believe the se t68i have made a mark in the cellular industry, i have purchased one 2 yrs ago and i still consider it to be my favorite mobilephone even though i have a t610, it has such a classic design thats comfortable to the hands and cool blue keypad lights that go together with its striking features like infrared and bluetooth, which still up to now is not found in other brand of mobilephone. for sure i would be keeping my t68i as a collectors item. its one great phone, and it would surely be missed. |

@DeLa
i have a t68i and to hear some ... guy compare it to a
nokia 3310 makes me ... sorry , now like i was saying , DeLa dude you really need to look around some more or better yet spend the rest of the day in esato so you will get it ... there is no comparison !!!
Anyway... i just wanted to say that i love my t68i and iŽll always will ... no matter if they stop making it ...
iŽll never ever use a nokia , specially the 3310
