Been to ericsson shop last weekend and just out of curiosity, i asked the sales whats are the difference between the T68i/T68 and whether it is possible to upgrade the T68 to T68i. He told me the two phones are totally different. I told him that I saw from the SE website that the phone should be upgradable... and he kept telling me "NO, the hardware are totally different" I wouldnt blame him since afterall, he is a sales... but what was funny was that he ASSURE me the two phones are different becase he said "The T68 is Ercisson and the T68i is SonyEricsson! Its from two differnt companies!" Gee...
Anyway, the good news is that at least the CS here do know something... I just called them and they said they have heard about the upgrade and is checking whether will be avalible in Hong Kong |

Everyone that is a "regular" here on Esato knows for sure that they are the same - and I dont think thats was dumbdumb was aiming at, more likely that many of the resellers are completly NUTS, bet they can see difference on a Nokia and if you ask!

Yup, I know they are the same (thanks to Esato and everyone here) but just want to see how much SE knows about their own products! I really can't believe how he said the two phones are different because it is from two different companies... sigh... |

No way, the sellers know very well that both phones r the same but they'll be nuts if they tell u that since the T68m is cheaper than the 'i' version and both phones will be the same after the upgrade without considering the WAP2.0 and the theme editing capability...

The "i" isnt so much more expensive than "m"!!
Here in Sweden it differs around €3 on some stores and on some the "i" is cheaper than "m" so I dont agree with you on that!

I got my T68i today didn't bother checking the price
but I gonna send in insurance paper on it its about €40 (365SEK)
It's the Telia SP that offer that insurance it covers everything
well worth the money. (Fortually I don't pay either the phone or the Insurance my company does) |
