Before im flamed, I HAVE searched.Im trying to pair my P800 with t68i but there is nothing happening.Im no nooB to BT and can only guess its a hardware problem on the 68 (I have successfully used my P800 with my USB BT adapter,Nk 7650,Nk 3650,Jabra BT headset).Neither phone can see the other.I also tried to pair t68i with 3650 with no success.Could any1 please tell me how to achieve connection between my 2 SE's.TIA

If they can't see each other (assuming you didn't forget to turn the bluetooth ON, on both phones) it's most probably a hardware problem

well any BT connection is done the same
so unless u forgot to enable something.. then it's a hardware problem
P800 sometimes has a hard time pairing with stuff
I cldnt get my P800 to pair with a 7650
I later found out that it was the 7650 that was faulty
edit: oh and next time, plz make ur topic name a lil more specific to the problem
"what the hell" isnt exactly very explanatory
makes threads impossible to find afterwards

It doesn't matter if the topic name mentions what the post is about or not. If someone is searching for "pair p800 with t68i" then this post and subsequent thread will come up just fine.

and then when I see the thread name I'll be all like
"yooo.. wtf? is this actually covering what I want? next!"
useful names for threads r well... useful
imagine if all the threads were called "help me!!"

Surely if you are looking for something you just do a search!!!! As I said, if you were looking for pairing a P800 and t68i on BT this would be included as the body of the text is also searched...the topic becomes irrelevant. Lets face it, most of the time the original thread idea is lost after a couple fo posts and it steers off course...I prefer the actual post text rather than topic header as it tends to be more accurate in a search.

Yeah, I think there is something wrong with getting the T68i to talk to the P800.
My friend was gonna upgrade and I spent absolutely ages trying to transfer all his contacts to my P800 so that I could download them to his new P800 when it arrived.
Bluetooth didnt work nor did IR.
@ProviGuy
I think you are way off beam.
Most people DO NOT use the search function - well not immediately. What most people do - in my experience - is to browse the first two or three pages of a forum. Sometimes you are not looking for anything specific, just looking for tips that might be of help or for subjects on which you can contribute.
If someone posts a thread with a silly title like "Help!!!" or "What the f**K!!" then they are less likely to attract the attention of people who can or even want to help.
I for one, dont bother with threads with silly titles. |

Most people do not use a search? Er, its a fundamental of any forum! Am I then supposed to think that "my issue" will only be on the first one or two topic header pages? That's a little naive to say the least. Oh, well, each to his own. I have used search since day one and the topic header to me is totally irrelevant, its the key worlds in the text body that count MUCH more. |

well, another essential part of posting in a forum is relevant topic
I guess it wldnt bother u if I made my topic name "my dog" and post information about the P810's release date and official announcement
cuz mr providude doesnt look at topic names, but only at the search function...
that's awesome
keep up the gr8 work random character

Try to keep it in the realms of reality. "What the hell" is, as I am sur eyou will agree, unlikely to be a question regarding the underworld but more than likely, as we are in a P800 forum, to be about the P800 and a difficulty he is having with it. Strikes me as obvious! Putting "my dog" and then mentioning the relase date of the P810 would be, er, moronic to say the least. If I put "Its finally released!!!" as a topic people will open it because they will assume it is about the P810 and not the whale in the Free Willy film!! Jeez! |
