Mac OS 9.2.1 using infrared w/ T616 |

My PowerBook G4 finds the phone, but the T616 doesn't find/connect with my Mac. All I want to do is take pictures off the phone to the G4 via infrared.
Thanks! |

Try the software here: http://www.cpen.com/Download/software_upgrades/m5/s3
However, I would really recommend upgrading to Mac OS X and buying a USB Bluetooth adapter. Macs, bluetooth and the T610 were really made for each other! Synchronising, transferring files etc. is all built-in to the OS. And you get to play with Salling Clicker (www.salling.com) - a big reason for why I upgraded my iBook to Mac OS X!! |

Thank you very much, that worked perfect! The images/photos transfer really quick. That's all I'm going to use it for... I really don't need the other sync capabilities, but you're right, I need to get OS X soon.
Another solution is to use Virtual PC with a Bluetooth USB adapter. Some of them work on both platforms, so when you upgrade to OS X you can just use isync.
Thanks again! |

I've yet to find a USB Bluetooth adapter that doesn't work in Mac OS X (even the ones that say they are Windows only). Mac OS X comes with generic Bluetooth drivers so you don't need to worry about trying to find one with drivers.
I tried getting my Bluetooth adapter working in Virtual PC but gave up. It is such a pain in the backside trying to get Bluetooth working in Windows. In OS X I just plugged it in and ran the Bluetooth Setup Assistant and all was working in about 2 minutes. In Windows I spent about 20 minutes installing the drivers, then couldn't get anything else to work at all... Dunno why they make it so hard!
