Replacement T68m different to my old T68m (hardware revisions)... |

I just got my T68m replaced through insurance, I have noticed that the phone has some rather large improvements. My first T68 was R1A hardware version, the new one is R4A. This 'new' phone is so much better quality it's unbelievable. The keys don't rattle, the battery fits perfectly with no rattle, the top volume slider is much firmer and the most interesting one is that on my old model, the LED's were really shit, not lighting the bottom half of the phone up at all. They were so dim that you couldn't tell what colour they were, if they were orange or green. The new R4A phone is really very bright orange. the screen is very much clearer, ofcourse this could be to do with the software is different but the display of colour is far more accurate and brighter!
I am really very happy with this version, as they have fixed all those little problems with my old T68 that I wasn't happy with. i really can't believe the difference..... WOW!
The general performance has also been increased with the introduction of R2B software, the phone is very much quicker at nearly everything!
Has anyone else found these differences???
What is the latest/last hardware version of the T68m?
BRING ON THE NEXT MMS VERSION..........

Me too. Exactly the same story. Brighter led's new software. Mic is less sensitive (causing less disterbance), more crispy colours and filally and most importantly the battery lasts longer ... (maby it's the software) |

look on the label underneath your battery.... R1A, R2A, R3B or something like that can be found there.... that's the HW version |

I got a R3A back as a replacement for my R1A
and I also observed most of the improvements
mentioned by 'Eric's Son' with one difference ...
my battery (the only remain of my poor old R1A-
brick) is now fitting much worse then before, think
well used (M) T250 where the battery(or cover for
it in the Motorola case) give some way when pressed.

This is exactly the reason I think it's silly when people
keep writing T68m/T68i is 100% the same with the new software.
Even the same model gets improved overtime ofcourse T68i will
be much better then early T68m the diffrence might be alot smaller
with R4A FW T68m's. And I bet the T68i's sold in 4month will
be better then the ones sold now. There always gonna be something
better but one have to step in and buy it at some point or you will
never have a phone hehe.. ppl should not be mad about the progress
