T68 bugs? |

Hi all,
I bought my T68 around about 2 weeks ago, and I have encountered some serious bugs.
Though all of these must have been talked about in this forum, I wanted to go thru them again, and ask for suggestions.
- Phone switches itself off, or goes to "PIN:" screen every now and then.
- GPRS unable to disconnect, battery has to be removed inorder to activate voice calls.
- While trying to connect to the internet on my notebook via GPRS, I get "GPRS request rejected" however, I can browse WAP sites thru the phone it self.
- Sends the wrong pop3 passwd to my e-mail server no matter how many times I've checked the setting.
- Battery status meter (the one that shows the amount of standby and talk time left in h and m) is seriously inacurrate.
- Menus are extremely slow, 30-40 second hangs are really common.
- Voice dialling is a bitch, does not recognize tones.
- Joystick button does not always work, sometimes I need to press it twice.
- Slow slow slow slow. Everything is so slow.
Both my HW and FW versions are R1B.
Any suggestions? Anyone else have these problems? Do FW upgrades solve them, or are there any problems which require HW replacement?
Cheers,
Niko.

Thats a lot of things !!
I have software R1C,..and have no problems at all.
Why do you want to switch GPRS off ??
Mine is "on" all the time. It doesnt affect the battery-standby at all.
Yours seems to be extremely slow. Mine wasnt that slow even with R1B.
The joystick should work perfectly,.one click/push.
The "battery-status meter" isnt exact in hours/standby. You shouldne rely on this "meter" alone.
The voice dialling works quite well, of course one have to speak loud and clear, and in the same "tone",..but it works !
Email: use the numbers in pop/smtp instead of names. Be sure that the provider supports pop.

Anyway : If your menues are THAT slow, and joystick doesnt work properly, you should get another phone. I dont think a software-upgrade will help this at all. An upgrade could help in some of the things, but not all.
The T-68 is a really good phone,..I guess you've just been unlucky
