This intrests me too. I've got a HBH-20 and it is surely useless in wind and while walking in a city :-(

Digital Bluespoon has noise-cancelling algorithms. |

Just got myself a Jabra BT200 as it was cheap (I had a voucher)
Tested it outside... so far so good the volume is louder and the person on the other end can still hear me with the wind blowing!
It is not quiet as slick as the Motorola (I like the flip boom ) but not bad.

Ive got the HBH 35 and that seems ok, i was doing 146mph the other day (without helmet) and i got a call they said that there was no wind noise, they could only hear the wine of the supercharger on the motor bike

The ordinary Bluespoon won't help. It is very sensitive for noise, probably because the mic is so far away from the mouth. The digital has been tested in noisy environments and seems to handle it well.

@ nokevin - am very glad you don't do it everyday, 146mph that is! Still you can only kill yourself once and yes I probab;y do sound like a grown up! I have a memory of a boy I nursed who came off a bike and was paralysed - everywhere. I know I sound dull but I think the place for people who want to do that kind of speed is on a track. The helmet is irrelevant, no protection at that speed. My neighbour's 25 year old daughter was killed by a bike doing 140ish this summer. The biker died too, he was 42. The footipath crossing where Sarah died has 100yds visability in both directions. You know the old story "if you are on a railway track and see a train the size of a postage stamp it will hit you". So be careful out there. |
