Can I transfer any theme, ringtones, images, backgrounds, etc. from my pc to my phone through a IrDA. And can I transfer files from my phone to my pc throught the IrDA. |

To send from pc to phone activate the phone IR and line it up with the PC IR, then use windows explrer to find the file you want to send, right click and depending on your operating system there will be an option to send to... and either a nearby computer or something similar.
To send from the phone choose file file you want to send, click options or more (depending on phone) and choose send and then choose IR. When that is done simply line up the phone IR with the PC IR again and the pc will receive the file.
Of course you do have to make sure you have IR activated on the PC and sometimes, if you have not used IR before, it may need activating in the BIOS

If you have WinXP in your PC it's very very easy, if NOT try to download "File sender" from http://www.christersson.org/

It no harder on Windows 98 or ME than it is on XP... no need to download extra programs.
SENDFILE that you speak of is more useful for cable transfers

how much is an external irda dongle? is is cheaper if its a serial cable , rather than a usb cable? I want one so i can attach it to my pc... i have a desktop, not a laptop:(
