What does it mean when a game is named Tar in the end ???

Fx. Black Deal without Tar is 43kb and with Tar its 58kb

What is the difference ???

That's weird !!! Why is the Tar file bigger than the NON Tar ?? And
why is the Tar-thing not at the end of the filename ???

"archive" does not imply compressed. It's just a file containing multiple files...

a compressed version would be .tar.gz (TAR + gZIP)

Lets say i used macrar on my mac to compress some files, if i sent that .rar file to a pc, would they be able to uncompress it in winzip?

Thanks, wasn't sure really i think stuffit on the mac opens anything, thought winzip would be the same.

TAR is for Tape Archive and it's the way data is lumped together and put on a tape.

For file transfer, its only real practical use is to keep a group of files together.

There is no compression involved at all. That's why most .tar files you'll download, for say Unix applications, will all be .tar.gz, because they are compressed after they are bundled.
