How do you transfer backrounds to my phone using the IR port in my laptop?

If you only want to transfer pictures and melodies by IR,..the standard ir-driver on the laptop (in windows), should do the job.

Try to position the phone and laptop's IR-ports towards each other, turn on the phone's IR-connection,..you will know if it works,..on the laptop, there will be a menu popping up, saying that "connection with T-68 is enabled".

If this happens,..you have a connection !

Then you can send images up to 8 kb (8000 bytes) or melodies in EMY-format.

Be sure to set the IR-speed on laptop to 9600 kb.pr.second.
(this is also called SIR =seriel infrared).
