Is it possible to send SMS and other data from T610 to PC via cabel? I am thinking about buying this new Sony Ericsson, but I didn't find that information anywhere. I'm sure that I can send data fom PC to 610, but other direction?
Thanx! |

Other direction, no you have to buy an IR adapter or Bluetooth to transfer pics/themes/ringtones/... to your pc but with cable you can only send pc to phone, and yes it's possible to make a backup of your SMS with the cable |

Christersson Phone Backup can be used to back up your phone.
Floats Mobile Agent can be used for messages.

If you haven't bought an IR yet and plan to do so, try out Mobile Action MA-620 IR adaptor. The software that comes with it is called Handset Manager. This software can do all you are asking for, i.e., SMS Manager, Phonebook Manager, Ringtone Manager, MMS Manager, etc.
If you happen to buy an older version of the MA-620 and the included Handset Manager software is not yet updated, you can always downloan for free at http://matweb-01.com/English/en-home.htm all the latest supported mobile phones. You can also just search Mobile Action and you can view their whole site.
I haven't tried Handset Manager with a different IR adaptor. I pressume it won't work with a different manufacturer's adaptor.
Hope this helps. Cheers !!! |

My advice is use IRDA or Bluetooth. Don't get the cable, I have one but lots of connection problem. My IRDA works better than cable. As for bluetooth, it s the best wireless connection if you have extra cash to play with. |
