Can anyone teach me how to upload games to my phone? They come in *.jar and *.jad format. I'm using a SE T610 and I'd like to upload the games via IR with the MMS Home Studio software which comes with the phone... Is it possible or do I need to use 3rd party software?

Ok firstly with the T610 you only need the .jar file. The .jad file is a description file which is not required.

Secondly you don't need the MMS home studio as all version of windows since windows 95b can support sending the file to the phone directly from windows explorer using IR. Just find the file in windows explorer, right click and choose sent to nearby computer (if windows XP) or send to IR something-or-other for ealier versions.

I tried that but there was an error called "invalid application" after I uploaded it to my T610 and the games wouldn't work. This applies to *.rar files(morphun games), *.jad files, *.jar files

Apart from that, I can download *thm files, *.mid files, *.jpeg/*.bmp files... but the animated *.gif files aren't uploadable. I tried using the MMS home studio but the pictures became static. Can anyone help? What third party programs do you people suggest?

Mophun games have the extension .mpn, not .rar.

.rar files are WinRar archives which are similar to .zip files. You need software to extract the actual files from the archive.

Sorry mate, can't help you with that. I use Bluetooth for all my uploads and all of the files you've mentioned work fine.

YES!!! Some of the morphun games work!!! But some of them still don't! You know Qsoccer(1,2) and Dragon Tale(1,2,3)? Those come in parts right? I'm not able to download those games... the games aren'ts saved saved after I've uploaded them into my T610... the phone doesn't even say it's a invalid application!

@Lion Heart:
You have to upload all parts before the game will show up in the list.
Note that you can't delete a partially uploaded game. You will need to upload the remaining parts, and let the game install, before you can use/delete it.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.

Hmm... yeah, that's what I thought so I uploaded all the parts into my phone but they didn't show in in any of the games menu under "entertainment" ... should I send them all at once or one by one? I tried using "Sendfile" from christersson.org but the program can't detect my phone via IR... I don't even know where the settings for "Sendfile" is...

sigh~ this is so much harder than GBA emulation...

the sendfile will detect a phone if u're using the cable, not for the IR. i was once using the sendfile with the cable, and i find the features seems limited compare to BT which i'm using now, MSI PC2PC . your file management will be much much easier using the . u can access ur file in the phone (for me, t610).

for the gif file, i found no problem uploading it. try checking the image size will fit the t610 size, 128x160 i think.... isn't it? but it'll run slower than the pc. i heard if u install the latest firmware for t610, the gif will run faster, i don't know how far the truth is, since i haven't installed it. haha.

new games? hmmm... i don't know. try searching in the forums. thx. have u visit a site?

Any old parts of partially uploaded games get overwritten the next time you upload a game.

Then how do you do to transfer your games through BT?
