Hello!

I was hoping soemone would be able to help me install some of these games. I have acquired many games, and they are all in various formats. First of all, what is the difference between .jad and .jar files? Are these java games?

I also have some .sis files, what phones do they work on?

Finally, and m main problem, is that I have some zip files that when i open them they decompress to LOADS of files, some are .class, some .ott, one .mf . What on earth am I meant to do to install these ones? Please help, I will reward anyone who can give me some advice.

It would help to know what phone model you use.
If you use T610, you only need the .jar files. .jar is the only JAVA file the phone will accept

To install it simply send it using BlueTooth/IR (by rightclicking in explorer, and choosing send); or cable by using a program like SendFile

.sys files are for P800

P.S
Hope this helps

For the .sis file use a P800, if you use a T610 upload the .jar files the .jad files doesn't work on this phone ( J2ME platform ). But for the .class files I think that it's for another Java platform the J2SE and it's for pc only.

So you have the .sis which only the P800 can read ( only talking of SE products ) and .jar files for the T610 ( only files that the phone can read)

Anybody, correct me if I'm wrong

As for your last problem (class files etc) they should be compressed within a jar (not zip) file. I believe you can simply rename the x.zip file to x.jar in the command prompt.

Thankyou very much for your help. I will rename the zip files immediately. Check your PMs for special reward info.

Out of interest, I'm going to be using a 7650, Sharp GX-10, T610, that's about it.

What can the GX10 use?

Note that T610 can't handle all JAVA midp.1 files, so if the app/game is made for nokia it's possible the phone won't accept it.
