Hi! I've just got myself a DCU-11 cable and i've installed the drivers. I've also installed the Phone Monitor program but i cant get the computer to find my phone! I have enable the COM3 and so on...

i've seen this problem a hundred times, and the short answer is.. try rebooting with the phone plugged - it may work ! if not..

try another com port
try removing the com2 (if you dont use it for anything else) and then re-adding it, again with the phone plugged in.

I do know that certain O/Systems react differently towards com ports, so you MAY consider upgrading to XP..

I have tryed on both Windows Server 2003 and now on Windows XP. Cant get it to work. On windows XP it sais that COM3 is already in use, but i am using COM4 for it now but it's the same problem.

and you've tried "removing" all com ports and rebooting..

before you reboot, make sure the lead is in com1 or com2


Hang on.......... its a USB Cable, how are you plugging this into a com port ?

Yes, it is a USB cable. I dont know how it is connected to the COM3 but look here:

..Must be some kind of hardware conversion that occurs..

Well, if you have tried another USB port, and tried removing the com ports and re-booting...

then I am sorry, I dont have any further advice/ideas

Well, i cant say how but suddentley it all just worked perfectley... I started up the File Sending program and it all worked greate! I am using the cable on COM4 now if you want to know... But i didnt change it, the computer changed it to COM4 from COM3 automaticly...
