I have a HBH-60 which I use with both my P800 and my T610. Truth is that I hardly ever use it. Some days I even leave it at home. I have the HCB-30 Bluetooth car kit in my car though and I just can't live without that one - great looks (matches the dash color and interior of my car), great sound, reliable - it's amazing...

HI
i just got recently my HBH-60 to pair with my T68i, won't go anywhere without it...
people in general... just don't care!!!
had a brain tumour 13 years ago, i guess almost only guys like me that go trough this kind of health problems can really give the right value to this radiation issues...
Now, only 1 mW power in my hear (SAR 0.00..w/kg), no more: blood cells loss, DNA changes, free radicals intense birth, memory losses, and potencial cancer/tumours again (specialy with the long calls)...
i guess i'm freeeeeee!!! |

Me, I use the headphones that came with my P800. This is largely because I carry my P800 in its original case, in my jacket/coat inside-pocket whilst travelling, so often don't even hear it ring!

i connect the headset only when receiving a call... plenty of time to put it in your ear before someone gives up!

and u think u are protected?...i used to think too....radiation penetrates much more easily when close to reproductive organs, liver, kidney...to the brain, is harder to get there!
in standby i use it always in me ass pocket (lots of fat cells), during a call way far from the body...
sorry, forgot to say: recent studys show that the wire of the headset acts like an antenna that brings radiation trough it, increased 3/4 times more than normal exposure with the phone close to your ear.

@ommadawn
Protected? Not something I've considered...
I'm a commuter, so my phone's in my pocket, in a jacket, under a coat etc. etc., so I either don't hear my phone ring, or can't be bothered to remove, hence the handsfree.

a little bit off topic: we hear alot about phones being nicked outside tube stations etc but I wonder when we will start hearing about headsets being nicked as they are a much easier target since you are not actually holding them!

I've often wondered that Masseur. Try not to use my HBH60 in public now, only in the car. Only reason I got the headset was the new law about driving and using mobile phones.

In car, huuuuuuuummmmmmmmm... get inside the car...make a call(presuming that it's the GSM antenna that is radiating), and get into the world of a microwave oven!!!...with much less power of course....or your brain would be really frozen.
it's like i say above, the one who passes trough it, feels this related stuff, like nobody else does...

i'm starting to think about that too "masseur...
there for, i'm begginning to put my right hand holding the headset (while the left holds the phone) when i feel a lot of people around me...
u even feel more natural, cause people don't look at u like if u were weird or something... |

I still look at people using headsets in public and think "freak". Silly realy as I do it myself sometimes. I'll have to try the hand over the ear trick

Given the new law coming in force in the UK in January, i was thinking of getting a true car hands free kit fitted.
Halfords are advertising this for 99 quid fitted. I think i'll get one of those as "lead in ear" types will be illegal whilst driving from 1st Jan 2004. |

Will the "lead in the ear" handsfree be illegal too then? I hope my bluetooth headset will be legal to use in the car. It's all voice activated after all, voice dial, voice answer and reject. Only time I use my hand is to push the button to make a call. It's that new law that made me buy the HBH60 in the first place. Just my luck it's illegal too
