If your phone supports it, you could send a contact as a vcard embedded in an EMS message. That message howeve will not be shown in the sent folder and you will receive no delivery report.

Then vcard is the way to go for you. Select a contact from phonebook, press the option key, select send then via sms. Please be aware that ALL contact details for that particular contact will be sent. If the recipient's phone is not vcard compatible, the message will be considered a regular sms.

As far as I know, it can't be done. Maybe this is a feature that should be included, cut and paste !!! Sending contact via SMS will send the whole lot of info as you already know, and sometimes, we don't really want to do that, right ? |

Here is your answer:
Cut, copy and paste can be used when you enter/edit a contact to move around phone-numbers:
Cut a number:
press and hold * while pressing 1
Copy a number:
press and hold * while pressing 2
Paste a number:
press and hold * while pressing 3

I haven't tried the "cut & paste" trick yet but it sure;y looks like a handy thing to have especially if you are moving stuff around your phonebook (i.e. copying and pasting numbers between multiple contacts).
I think, however, that it might just be easier to memorize the number to placeon he SMS rather than go through the procedure of entering the Edit Contact menu.
Cheers !!! |

Thanks for that tip, didn't know that one. However it doesn't actually help with my problem since i cannot paste a copied number in a SMS message I think the vcard is the best way then. thx |

Does anybody know if there is a software for mac so that you could type your sms-message with your mac and then send it via bluetooth to your phone (T68i) and so to the receiver? Some messages would be easier to type with keyboard than with the phone, you know.

Here's how you send sms from your Mac via Bluetooth.
Make sure Phone and Mac are paired in the bluetooth prefs panel.
Just open Address Book on your Mac, click on any sms-capable phone nbr and select "send sms" from the pop up menu et voilą !
Easy as pie, what else did you expect with a Mac
Cheers
