Ipaq - T610 filetransfer with IRDA |

I made my IPAQ 3660 to transfer contacts to/from T610 with additional software (mPhone), I managed to put my contact to a new phone and I'm happy, but I cannot transfer any files (pictures, sounds). The IR communication collapses (after the IPAQ shows that he is tying to contact t610. Is there any software required for IPAQ?

Initially had the same problem w an ipaq 3850 but now it works fine even w/o additional sw. I think it started to work when i beamed a pic from the t610 to the ipaq. Hope this helps.

As I mentioned in this thread this morning...
"yeah I have been beaming files to and from ipaqs and T68/T68i/T610 since my first T68 in nov 2001. works perfectly and its nice to have a full store of pics on the ipaq which you can transfer to the phone when the mood takes you"
no extra software is required, it works every time for me.

I've been successfully transferring phone nos, pictures, ringtones and games from my 3850 to my t610. And i've also been able to send phones nos and pictures from my t610 to my 3850. Both ways w/o a third party software. |

I am happy to hear that so many people have had no problem. However, I have the same problem as Wojcio.
My iPAQ (3630, Pocket PC 2000 in my case) can use the T610 as a modem through the IrDA but I cannot transfer files between them over the IrDA.
If I try to send a file from the iPAQ to the T610 they fail to see each other.
If I try to send a file from the T610 to the iPAQ, iPAQ say that it is "Establising a connection with T610 Series" and the T610 says "Connection Failed".
To state the obvious, I have ensured that the IrDA is enabled on both machines. The files I have been testing were images created on the T610 and sent to my iPAQ by email. I suspect that this is a problem related to some sort of handshake protocol but since there are no options for this on either machine I am at a loss.
Any suggestions VERY welcome. |
