Hey ya all! =)
I have tried to make connection through blutooth 3 times (2 times with t39, the same on and one time with an other t68)
Both times it did'nt work. Is this normal? I mean does it happen that it does'nt work, even if we are within one meter from each other?
Thanx in advance!

Should work, try setting the bluetooth to "on" instead of "automatic". |

i often connect to another T68 with bluetooth, and USUALLY it doesn't work the first time it tries (searches for a long time, then says it failed), but then gets it the second time (sometimes it doesn't and it only gets it on the third try, but usually the second time works). don't know if this is a software bug, i'm still on R1B, but updating on sunday to R2B, so i guess i'll know better then... |

kalinka, It depend very much on your software version found in T68m.
I can get 100 % connection after software flash to T68m alone even with "automatic " settings
(Latest T68m sw R2B013)
I shall get my HBH-10 bluetooth handfree flash next week

kalinka,
If i'm not mistaken. What you meant earlier was that you tried to set up communication between T39 with T68.
If this is true? You should set both phones Bluetooth function to "Discoverables" or at least one set to disconverable, then you are able to link the Two Phones

Are u sure that you have set the bluetooth HF correctly. It should
flashes but red and green when it will connect to a new device. |

ALL8 > correct,..one phone should be set to discoverable,..(both in ON mode),..then you shouldnt have a problem.
T68 will flash BLUE only when connecting via bluetooth.
And a bluetooth-icon will appear on-screen,..most likely with two arrows,..meaning that transmission between devices are ON.

I also had difficulty getting bluetooth to work. Here is what I did.
I have a Xircom pc card installed in my PC. I loaded the software from the xircom cd to install their bluetooth environment called Blueview but every hardware will have an equivalent program.
I also installed the XTNDConnect PC software from the Ericsson site.
Of course you have to restart everything to get it loaded.
I then had to "Start a Bluetooth Environment" to make the software actually be able to find another bluetooth device.
You have to go onto the phone and make the phone "Discoverable". This is under the "Connect" choice.
I then opened the Blueview and searched for "New Devices" and it found the phone called "T68".
Then double clicked the T68 choice and five connection choice were offered, DialUp, Serial Port, Serial Port2, Fax, and OBEX. At first I opened connections to all five and it assigned five different virtual COM ports. This was incorrect. Just open ONE serial port connection and note the COM port that is assigned. Mine is COM 9.
Then I went to the Control Panels to Ericsson Phone Monitor, and opened this to hopefully find that the T68 is listed as valid device. If it is you have to go to Ports and "Enable" the same COM port that the Blueview assigned to the device.
Now you should have a complete open connection.
I searched the website http://www.tsixtyeight.com for "bluetooth" and got a one page offering that explained some or most of this.
It took me two days of installing and uninstalling, before I finally got it to work. Now it works great but what a pain that was. And I still can not get it to connect automatically and have to go into Blueview to reestablish a serial port connection and then it works.
Some other goodies.
Go to http://www.christersson.org/www/default.asp and get his software for backing up the phone and Sendfile. They are great.

T68 has seial port 1 on channel4 (serial port 2 on channel 5). This is used for basic things like phone control.
If you want to run synchronization, you must connect to the channel 11, which offers IrMC Sync.
If you want to send background pictures, you must connect to channel 10, etc...
Channel Service
-------------------
1 Dial-up
2 Fax
3 Voice gateway
4 Serial port 1
5 Serial port 2
10 OBEX data push
11 IrMC synchronization
As you see, that Xircom SW doesn't recognize the synchronization profile.
