ok. i have searched and searched and searched, and still i am lost.
1) i'm trying to use the tdk drivers, modified epox drivers, and widcomm software that i am finding on here, but the widcomm links are broken.
2) in the instructions posted, it says to also copy a file into the c:windowsinf location. there is no such folder! is this one i am supposed to make?
3) also, the actusb link doesn't work.
i've tried everything. the furthest i have ever gotten is trying to pair the devices (after i install the dongle, my puter reconizes my phone as a modem), and when i enter a password, my phone tells me unable to connect because of an invalid key.
i know alot about puters, but this damn dongle is killing me! i'm sorry, but can someone please help me, and maybe give better instructions? i know there are dozens of threads about this, but not one is very clear. it's like they're all just going off what the other person said. it would really be great if someone with a t61x and win xp useing an epox dongle could tell me how they did it. i hate epox!
thanks everyone!

When you are trying to pair, you enter the same 4 digit code on both the PC and the phone, right?
The location where WindowsXP keeps inf files is "C:\Windows\Inf" which is a hidden folder. (That means you have to go to Folder Options and make hidden folders and possibly protected system files visible)
By the way, if the BlueTooth stack is asking for a serial key, you will have to contact epox and see if you can get an updated license.dat from them, or wait untill they release they own version of 1.3.2.7 drivers.
I found a link to Widcomm 1.3.2.7 drivers here. It looks like they are customized for another dongle, but you can give it a shot.

thanks for the info on the hidden folders @wrath000!
that solved my delima but, unfortunatly, it didn't solve my problem. the problem being this piece of s**t dongle. still, my puter can't find my phone. yet, my phone can find my puter. and when i try to pair it and enter a pass key, of course it doesn't work. i can't believe all the problems im having! epox sucks! nobody buy epox! i'm gonna see about getting a different dongle either today or tommorow.

I have to admit I was surprised they didn't upgrade their drivers to 1.3.2.7 yet...
