Service Centre wont upgrade firmware |

I bought my T610 from overseas bout 3 months ago,
It is a T-Mobile branded phone with a build date of 03w15 and
R1A firmware.
The phone was shipped over and I am using it on my Australian provider.
I went to get the firmware upgraded yesterday arvo and was told because it was an overseas phone they couldn't guarantee the phone would work after after they upload the new software.
They said basicly get it done overseas or sell it and buy an Australian model and get the upgrade if needed.
Can anyone see why this would be a problem???
Thanks Guys
MILO

I can't see why they can't. I don't think it matters which country you bought your telephone in. The firmware is the same. Try to send a mail to SonyEricsson customer service and ask them. They maybe can work it out.

i think it might be to do with the languages on the phone, the service station probably only has a language pack for austrailian models, so flahing it would replace your language pack aswell with the one they have. though i dont see any reason this would be a problem unless you use one of the languages not in the austrailian language pack. |
