agnesx Joined: Aug 24, 2003 Posts: 75 From: Melb, Australia PM	Posted: 2003-08-31 16:36 i have had my phone for a week now, but have been reading these forums for more than a month... my issue is when i try to transfer (HR) pics from my phone to my lappy (running win2K) i noticed that the file size for the pic shrinks by about half! and the quality becomes horrible!! i have seen people posting their T610 HR pics on these forums in the past and looks much better than what i am getting... did i miss some setting?? this also occurs when i transfer pics (.gifs) onto my phone as screen savers, the file doubles if not triples in size compared when it was on my comp, also the animation runs very slow.... is this a firmware issue? i am on the old R1A firmware, thinking of going to a SE centre to get it upgraded this weekend any help or comments will be really appreciated!! thanks so much fellow up message, i had no trouble connecting via IR with win2k, just turn on IR and point to the port and it works but for sending only, i can send multiple files but i still need to click accept manually per file accepted and when sending files from phone to comp, also one at a time is there anyway or any prog i can speed these up? like using the phone as a 'virtual' partition of a drive, so i can just click and drag files to and from? thanks! _________________ one day i will come up with something funny and witty and related to sex, until then it will be this [ This Message was edited by: agnesx on 2003-08-31 15:44 ]

As for the file size increase, this is because the phone makes a copy of the image in RAW format to improve performance (also explains why file size drops when sending to your laptop).
