My Specs First:
Windows XP Home (with service pack 1)
T610 Mobile
Dlink DBT-120 USB Bluetooth Dongle
Dlink Bluetooth drivers installed from supplied CD Ver.3.10
(Driver/Software Version 1.2.2.15)
With all this installed and running I have a "My Bluetooth Places" icon on my desktop. I can search for devices and I find my T610. I can then browse to the Sounds, Themes & Pictures folders and upload/download stuff to the phone.
All great so far.....
Trouble is, I can't get any other software to sync to it (for names/numbers etc)
I tried the sonyericcson software last night which did a outlook sync, but it just didn't want to install properly at all, and ended up messing everything up. Someone told me this was not very compatible with the bluetooth drivers anyway which may have explained something.....
Anyhow, putting outlook to one side, what else can I use to keep my phone synced to my PC ?
I found Mobile Agent by FloAT which looks nice, but can't as yet get it to connect to my T610. I have fiddles in the settings but nothing has worked yet... any suggestions please....
Or is there any other way to get the T610 to sync with Outlook without using the SonyEricsson software thingy...
Many thanks

Update..........
Well tried again (bit of reading + lot of luck)
On my Bluetooth settings I activated the SerialPort thingy
(still don't understand what this serial port via bluetooth idea is) but anyway............
Did that, it said use comm4 in setting.
I went to mobile agent and told it to use comm4 and guess what..
It worked !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, works to a point. SMS messages all there ok.
Can get it to display my sim phonebook
Problem, I can read (in the left pane) the names and numbers on the phones memory, but I can't get this info in the main right pane so I can edit/add names numbers
Though I can add info to the sim memory.
Any tweaks to make it work better with a T610 |
