Hello All,

I've got a bit of a weird request but I hope all of you could possibly lend me a hand.

Scenario:

You've got a Phone with (large dynamic memory) that can store 100 or so sms msgs like nokia's 6210/6310/6510 or siemens sl45 and these phones all have IR (infrared) and some even have BT (Bluetooth) connectivity options. Some even have MMC expandable memory to store tons of SMS msgs.

You also have access to an IR printer.

Problem:

The end of the day is here, you've got 100 or so msgs you want to keep a hardcopy of, and you want to do it in very few steps. Looking for some sort of solution that lets you "Select ALL SMS" and do a "Send/Print via IR/BT" all at once sending to the printer.

Is there anyone at all who could help figure out some sort of solution on how the above can be accomplished ? Would say studying the phone sdk allow you to create such an option on the phone ? What if the phone is Java enabled, can an application be custom made to accomplish the "Select All" ? Is this feature already available on certain phone models ?

Awaiting all your replies at your earliest convenience.

Cheers,

Dani

P.S: Feel free to PM me if you need to

Well, the easiest solution (apart from a phone having the select all/print function) would be to have a PC read all the messages from the phone and then print them out.

For example, with a T610, a simple script could open serial connection to the phone (over cable/bt/ir), then using AT commands retrieve all the messages, format them, and send them to a printer.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.
