One thing that has annoyed me alot is the sound the
camera make when you take a picture even though
a friend was all worked up about it 'it sounds!'
Anyway since I don't know of a option to disable the
sound it makes I tried putting the phone in silent mode and
it worked no camera sound then. It can be good to know.
It's very easy to put it in silent mode the right softkey 'more/options'
choise then press '1' and its in silent mode and then the camera button
and take as many pics you want without the annoying camera sound
and then the same softkey and '1' to put the phone back in the normal mode.

My phone is always in silent mode except for the odd occassion like if I am in the bath and shower etc.

I guess the camera noise would only be annoying if I was trying to take a discreet photo that perhaps I shouldn't be taking of someone!

There is a quicker way to get into/out of silent btw... just press and hold the 'c' key!

There is an radical way to disable that sound. After I did my master reset (13 sec trick, I think) all my sounds have gone. The message alerts too, and I can't find a solution to bring 'em back. My only sound is now the 'click'. It can be heard everytime, when the phone does an action. Taking a shot, recieving a message or at error. I hate this sound. I prefer that 'annoying' now.

why don't you just try doing a normal master reset to see if this brings your sounds back?

Quite a lot of people seem to have problems after the 13sec trick. People should really put in a warning when they tell others about it.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.

The master reset was only a coinsidence. I tried to send an mms, then the phone showed the sand clock. It was on screen 3or 4 mins, then I switched the phone off. I didn't pull out the battery. Just switched off with the on/off button. After I restarted it, everything has gone. I DID the normal master reset, but it didn't work, so I must do a software upgrade.
