Hi,

I have the dbPoweramp tool and the codec version. But when I convert mp3s to oog they have the standard windows icon. When I try to load to P8oo there is a message 'cant load files of this type'. I have the ogg player on my phone . Anyone help ? I just found this site yesterday - thank God - I spend my life messing with my P800, sadly !

Use Epocwares file manager and simply copy and paste them into the directory of choice!

Download it here: http://se-p800-software.epocware.com/PC_File_Manager/articles/Download_area_for_PC_File_Manager.html

On my computer my ogg's have no file associated with them at all, so yes just the generic windows icon.

Actually I've never tried the standard software, it might work as well.

Simon,

I'm now listening to OGG files on My SEP800. Thanks for the help. I tried the AMR format before but they are awful. OGG even with the lower quality settings and smaller files is brilliant.
Fair play to ya.

Paul

Copied my oggs through MS stick reader. 12 songs of close to 20mb took less 30 secs...
