Has any one in here had any experience of Total IR Remote or IR Remote v0.90... or even both???
If so, which one would you recommend and why? And are there any downsides to either programmes?
I have a fairly hefty movie theatre hook up (WS TV, Digital amp, DVD, Video etc).
I have found both these applications at My symbian, but before I pay out any money I want to know I make the right choice - Might even consider getting both on a trial basis - but first I want to hear other peoples experiences with these programmes.
Thanks |

Erm, not sure... but on my-symbian IR Remote v0.90 is newer than Total IR Remote.
Now I'm even more confused...
I might just have to download the trial versions and test the waters that way - unless anyone has the answers please

I Have tried IR Remote the features are good with a wide varity of devices supported however the IR port on the P800 isnt that powerfull and only works effectivly at about 70cm to 1meter away from the tv dvd surround amp etc |

Mine works fine from over 2m - however I've not been able to upload any new remote codes to it, either version, as it justs crashes.
I'd say get the trial version & try it out, but you'll likely find half your boxes aren't pre-programmed into it and you won't be able to 'learn' them or upload fixes. |

Thanks guys.
I downloaded trial of total ir - and what a load of s**te. You have to pretty much be next to the bleeding TV for it to work etc
Nope, I think Im just gonna have to go out and buy a proper remote control for all my stuff.
We cant expect the P800 to do everything now can we!
PS Anyone know of any application that gets the P800 to make my morning cup of tea????? |

Re tea: Ring up you're mum and ask her to pop round! Tell her you've got the flu or something - it'll work every time! |
