Hiyah,
You know how in MSN IM software you can make smilies by typing ":)"
Well it seem like the programmers at sony ericsson added something similar to their sms app. If you type :6 into an sms, or recieve an sms with :6 in it, you get a little icon of a devil!
This is the only one I've found so far, but I bet there are more to find.
If you find anymore, please add them to the thread?

While writing an SMS, select from the menu Edit -> Insert object -> Smiley. There you have them all. Depending on your settings, you see either the smileys or the text smileys. |

Yeah I particularly like the beer one. Most phones support varying levels of smileys. The p800 has quite a few. |

Every day l'm shocked by peoples lack of knowledge about their P800. Do theese people just not bother with exploring the vast features of the phone? its almost like they only buy it because its avaliable not because of it'.s features. They dont even know basic stuff.

That is what this person is doing...discovering things and doing the right thing by informing others...just because you know doesn't mean everyone does (as is confirmed in this thread!). Not everyone spends every waking hour checking out their P800...some people just require certain apsects of the machine...certainly there is nobody that requires every feature of the P800! Don't be shocked that people don't scour through the manual and that some people will post things that you discovered a long time ago.
Have patience wilth people dude. |

Never checked my manual. Dont spend lots of time on my p800 smiley option is just common sense. Everyone sends SMS so why not tap on the edit function just to see whats there?

Vermania, the dude is a new poster. he probably just got his p800. i bet u didnt know all that ur p800 could do immediately when u bought it. give him some time, and besides, the way u spoke was like u were some phone god or something. "they dont even know basic stuff" tts crap.
cant we all just give these guys a break? |

Hi All,
Actually, I've had my P800 for ages. But I haven't had too much time to play with it. I'm starting to learn more about it now. I was just being dim, and not looking through all the menu options. I should know this stuff as the company I work for makes phones.
LOL
PS. Does anyone know what Baseband chip and/or apps co-processor is in the P800?

unsure what a baseband chip is, but I imagine the app co-processor helps share the workload of apps open leaving the main processor to handling more urgent threads.
