The P800 really needs closed mode games I really Dont understad why
its not possible to playt with the fliip closed... It would help developers
since the resolution would be easier to handle and maybe We could
get gameloft games then ... like prince of persia and all the other cool
games... |

But all the p800 users who have sense and style have the flip off so the game makers have catered for theese people.

Good point However games should have both modes but that would mean more work...Its a tough call... |

I think your all mad.
p800 has a poor contro interface. unless developers utilise the jog dial as a D - pad and the cam and net buttons as A and B buttons we will be sorted. none of that tapping shit.

Vermania is right ! i really dont understand why only 2 ways of the jog dial work.... games like geopod !!! it is really annoying using the stylus to turn !!!! they could have easily used the jog dial to turn !
I think the only game i saw using the camera and internet buttons was that tennis game ! |

imagine your playing doom with the flip closed, appart from seeing dam all just imaging how much pressure you would be pressing on the fire button during the middle of a big fight scene, you would probably put your thumb through the screen. how many of us have broken the fire button on joysticks cos we were a bit trigger happy?? i remember seeing a post with gameboy style buttons on the plastic bit you remove to take off the flip. would be nice to get a joypad to connect to bottom of p800.

why not just have the Jog dial as the D pad and trigger and the net and cam button as A and B tis makes sense its the best control method and its piss easy to do as everything already there!

A bluetooth control pad, or a control pad that plugged into the docking cradle connector underneath would be a wise idea! |

Not games Like Doom Use Common sense games like Gameloft's Like Prince of persia its tough playing it since U need to press two keys at the same time... And It is a tough Choice Because:
1) Big Screen= Bad Controls [Not necessarily but definatley worse than the closed flip]
2) Small Screen= Good Controls
So it IS A TOUGH CALL...

An external control pad would be a BAD idea for SE, I mean, how many people would actually buy it? Would that number actually justify the cost of R&D? I think not. The game developers should just make use of the existing buttons. The P800 ain't no gaming machine, its for us to get work done. And of course have a little fun :-)
