T610 software help. |

Hi guys, I'm a newbie to this site, having just replaced my Z5 for a T610 ( great phone) but I need some advice.
I'm running Windoze Xp Pro with a USB MSI "PC2PC" BlueTooth device. The MSI & T610 ARE taking to each other, but there is no way I can get the SE software (Image Editor & MMS Home Studio) to recognise the T610. XTNDConnect PC is also installed but doesn't see the T610.
What am doing wrong??....anyone got any ideas?..........please.
Also, how do you set the email to work with NTLworld & Orange??(if you know what I mean).
Regards |

Hi i work for Orange and it is very easy to set your email addy up. The best way is to phone 156 ( this is free) from you handset and they will tell you exactly what to do . All i did was set up and Orange email account and then phoned them , you need a .net account .
Hope this helps |

Orange Peel, many thanks for the reply.
I will give 156 a ring, BTW why do I need a .net account? I don't have one at the moment.
Regards

Most operators will only let you access their own email servers using your standard WAP data account (probably why an orange.net account was suggested). To access other email servers, you'll need to connect using a more expensive INTERNET data account. You may need to contact your operator to enable internet access

I phoned Orange and they sent over a text that updated the sim.

Now I've got to sort out the Bluetooth problems.
Any one shed some light on them?????????

About your Bluetooth problems you have to assign a serial port (eg com4 or com com5) to your bluetooth connection. You can do this from your control panel with your bluetooth software-drivers.

U can set ntl as a pop3 account on the phone with gprs or dialup connection. I use gprs for blueyonder. Works fine.

Thanks for the replys regarding the bluetooth problems.
I uninstalled ALL the software and reloaded it back on, and I noticed that the MSI software had ADDED 10 or 11 virtual com ports.
When i then loaded the SE software back on everything worked just fine.
Regards all. |
