Problems with IrDA |

Hey,
I have problems with my T610 infrared.
If ill try to send picture or card to laptop, ill get a message, that no device found. But my laptop worked with another phone.
My laptop infrared is on. And if I tried to send card to another phone, it worked too with one phone, not with another.
Any ideas?

From what I've experienced on my t610, the IR (and bluetooth) is very temperamental. For me, turning the phone off and back on usually fixes it. Its probably a firmware issue with R1A as my mates (R1L) is fine.

I have to say that I use IR as much if not more than BT and have never had a problem on T610 with R1A or R1L.

i sometimes experience problems with irda with my t68 and think that some laptops have different protocols for irda connection One of the laptops in my office is HP and i generally have lots of problems about irda it sometimes see my phone but generally doesnt but with the other laptop which is IBM i generally have no problems. And with a friends toshiba i also have the same problem that it sometimes see my phone sometimes and generally doesnt see although i dont cchange my phone and the computers location. According to my experince to use win 2000 in laptops helps generally. |

i cannot use GPRS via IR as the IR conects to my phone T310 at 9600 bps only while it connects at 11.52kbps while transfering data. could someone help me solve this problem?? |

Have you turned on IR (Connect>Infrared port) on your phone? |

and whats ur os in laptop.Think that ever1 points out to hardaware but problem is ussualy with soft.I had the similar problem with irda with my laptop win 98se and  T 610, after upgrading os to win xp,no problem with irda.
