As stated on the subject, my P800 's display does not show colours after flasing to R2F today. SE service engineer told me to hold onto it as he will try to get a patch file or something from SE this Monday.
Anyone encountered this strange scenario before?

I know as I never came across this before on esato! Sooo piss-off now and hopefully it'll be fix by some bug patches or something. I don't think it got anything to do with hardware here.

presumably you have tried a master reset (after backing up)?

Just did a master reset but it's still the same! Any ideas? |

is the screen colours black & white or do the pic colours are in yellow, black & white and it dont look right as i get that when viewing web pages on my p800

The display is always black & white and not when viewing web pages and has been like this since I upgraded my firmware to R2F last Saturday.
My P800 is currently in CPW service centre. I e-mailed SE and got a feedback today suggesting that I'll need a re-flash as it could be an error when I flashed it! |

There was someone with a similar problem here in the Philippines. At first he thought is was a faulty LCD. Unfortunately our local servicepoint ran out of LCDs so the guy sent it to Singapore to get the screen changed. But when he got it back it was still B&W! By this time the local servicepoint had LCDs available they tried swapping the screen with a new one and still B&W. Unfortunately I don't know how his story ended as it was still being worked on when I was told the story. |
